Before you start to use apple watch series 3 which offers GPS and Cellular you need an iPhone 6 or the latest version of iOS. To use Apple Watch Series 3 which has GPS only or earlier models of Apple Watch, you need an iPhone 5s or later with the latest versions of iOS.
You are also required to complete the following steps;
- On your iPhone, go to settings – Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is on.
- Also, make sure that your iPhone is connected to WIFI or a cellular network
Note; if you have already set up your Apple Watch but would like to use it with a different iPhone, you can easily transfer your Apple Watch and its content to your new iPhone.
-
TURN ON YOUR APPLE WATCH
To turn your Apple Watch on, press and hold the side button until you see the logo of Apple. This may take some time. We recommend you to get Apple’s help if you are unable to turn on your Apple Watch or if you are asked to enter a passcode but forgot it.
Hold your Apple Watch and iPhone close together. Wait for the ‘use your iPhone to set up this Apple Watch’ message to appear on your iPhone, then tap continue. If you don’t see this message open the Apple Watch app and tap start pairing.
Tip; keep your iPhone and Apple Watch together until you complete these steps.
